Helene Lauras

Adjunct Lecturer

Hélène Lauras, French, runs her own business consultancy, and is currently based in Singapore with her husband and two kids.

Born in the South West of France, she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality and Catering Management from Ecole Hoteliere De Talence (Bordeaux France) and went on an international career that first took her in San Francisco, Paris, Barcelona and Edinburgh and then to China, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam and finally Singapore.

Working her way up to become Food and Beverage Operations Director for luxury hotels such as Pan Pacific, Sofitel, Hyatt and Swissôtel, Hélène has specialized in managing large and challenging operations.

Involved from the point of creation, she has opened a dozen of restaurants, bars and clubs, 5 of them with internationally renowned Designers, and was, at 26 years old the youngest and only woman F&B Director within Bangkok’s top ten Luxury Hotels.

Gathering over a decade of immersion in Asian culture, Hélène understands the challenges that surround the creation of a continuous culture of Service Excellence in countries where vocational specializations do not generally command as high a degree of respect than the Academic’s path.

She incorporated her own Consulting Company; Petit Pois Consulting in May 2013, offering professional consulting and “out of the box” educational services to all type of businesses where Service is a key differentiating factor, from Hospitality, to retail, restaurants, banks, education and many more.
