We are delighted to share that we have successfully renewed the prestigious 4-year EduTrust certification which is expiring on 26 August 2016.
EduTrust is an critical certification for Private Eduation Institutions (PEIs) in Singapore administered and governed by the Singapore Ministry of Education. It seeks to differentiate the better PEIs that have achieved higher standards in key areas of management and provision of educational services.
The certification is a validation of SDH’s continued relentless effort in its pursuit of education and organisational excellence. We are particularly happy that the EduTrust assessors pointed out in the assessment report that SDH “has taken much interest in the holistic development of its students through the series of programmes and activities carried out throughout 2015. These include career talks, industry engagement, sports activities, personal grooming, charity drives and visit to places of interest. These programmes and activities not only exposed students to areas related to their studies, but also create a vibrant student community and improve the students’ awareness toward social responsibility.”
Significantly, the report also stated that “in focusing on the readiness of its students to enter the workforce after graduating from the courses on hospitality education, the PEI has integrated practical lessons in its curriculum on top of requiring its students to undergo industrial attachment. The practical lessons were carried out either at the in-house mock-up restaurant or at actual hotel rooms. The PEI had also established strong and numerous industry linkages which facilitated the placement of students for industry attachments.”
We at SDH are greatly encouraged by this affirmation.
At the same time, we are deeply gratified for the trust placed in us by our students and their parents; and the strong support and sound guidance given to us by our partners and friends.
